On September 21, three world-class teams representing Belgium, Vietnam, and Russia will come together for a pyrotechnic competition that will light up the night skies for the 8th annual Fire Up the Night International Fireworks Competition at Coney Island. Fire Up the Night is the only International Fireworks Competition in the United States.
Spend the day riding rides, canoeing on Lake Como or playing a round of mini golf. Enjoy a LaRosa’s pizza and other Cincinnati favorites plus live entertainment at the world’s largest “empty-pool” party at Sunlite Water Adventure.
In Moonlite Pavilion visitors can experience the unique cultures of the countries competing in Fire Up The Night. Interactive music, dancing, and more will be presented to be both fun and educational for family members of all ages.
Beginning at 8:30 pm, the competing countries will light up the night sky with 3 firework displays as they compete in hopes of being voted the winning display. Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks will end the evening with a fantastic finale over Lake Como. This family night out begins at 4pm and is sure to be a night your family will never forget.
H.C. Pyrotechnics representing Belgium. Since 2015 the team has won 4 First Place awards in competitions in France, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland. They’ve had five major international presentations including, Disney’s Summer is Magic Tour.
Da Nang Fireworks representing Vietnam. Established in 2008, the team has participated in many competitions in the world and were named Champion of the 2014 Global Fest in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and took 2nd place in the Celebration of Life event in Vancoucer, Canada in 2012.
Bolshoy Pradznik representing Russia. This transnational group was established in 1993 and has held more than 8,000 shows around the world. The team has repeatedly taken prizes at international festivals in Zagreb, Barcelona, Shanghai, Moscow and many other cities around the world. Most recently in 2019, they were named the Grand Prix winner in the international championships of pyrotechnic art “Pyro Five Peaks” in Essentuki Russia.
Gates open at 4 p.m. Fireworks begin at 8:30 p.m. $25 per carload – includes parking, Rides & Attractions, and event admission.
